Peat Sorb is an environmentally friendly hydrocarbon absorbent product formulated from very specific naturally occurring vegetation.  Peat Sorb is effective on land or water and is non-leaching, so that is may be legally disposed of as ordinary garbage rather than as a hazardous substance.  The 3 lb shaker container of Peat Sorb will absorb 1-2 gallons of hydrocarbon.
